But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can." -  C. W. Longenecker

If you could participate in any sporting event in the world, what would it be? And, why? 100m sprint at the Olympics - because the atmosphere would be amazing (and the pain would be over much faster than an Ironman!).

Brad Wall

Age: 30

Hometown: Perth, Western Australia.

Two words to describe yourself: Naturally untalented

Is there anything you class 'lucky' you have to wear race day - certain sock, bracelet etc? I used to have a ‘lucky’ pair of socks I wore for my first 7 IM’s… until I realised 8-10 blisters after every IM marathon isn’t normal. Turns out they weren’t that lucky.

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? From my coach when I told him how nervous I was before a race “don’t stress mate, you’re not going to war. It’s just a triathlon."

What is your favourite motivational quote? Today I do what you won’t so tomorrow I can do what you can’t.

If you could participate in any sporting event in the world, what would it be? And, why? Darts World Championships – Fanatical fans, 0% fitness requirement, all preparation done at the pub, you get a cool nickname… and the list goes on!

What is your most embarrassing moment in a race? Double hamstring cramp about 10meters from the finish line of a 70.3.

I’m at my best when... I’m in training. My wife’s exact words are ‘you are difficult to live with when you are not training for anything’. I have a very supportive wife!

Do you have a weird food fetish? If so, what is it? I personally don’t think it’s that weird but I eat exactly the same food before each race from about 3 days out. More of a risk minimisation strategy but some think its weird/strange/obsessive.

Are you a Woolies or Coles shopper? I’m a convenience (lazy) shopper, whichever is closest at the time.

What would you spend your last $50 on? Carton of beer and a lotto ticket.

Why do you choose to be aligned with TITAN? I was already using many of the brands that TITAN carries so it was a no brainer. Since then I have gotten to know the guys and their passion for triathlon and their brand is infectious. They bring a team culture to a primarily individual based sport, which I love.

Lachlan Green

Age: 27

Hometown: Melbourne, Victoria.

Two words to describe yourself: Driven & Optimistic.

Is there anything you class 'lucky' you have to wear race day - certain sock, bracelet etc? Nothing I wear on race day, but I have to get myself ready for the race a few days out. Saves me stressing out! Maybe I should find something lucky?

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? Don't get caught up in what other people are doing, make sure you're on track to achieve your goals before worrying about your competitors training and racing.

What is your favourite motivational quote? Constant dripping will hollow out a stone.

If you could participate in any sporting event in the world, what would it be? And, why? U.S Masters golf tournament, I always wanted to play golf at a professional level. It would be incredible to see how incredibly finely tuned the golfers would be. I think golf requires the highest level of hand eye coordination and to play at Augusta would be an incredible experience! Next in line would be to race Hawaii.

What is your most embarrassing moment in a race? In one of my first Gatorade Sprint tri's, I couldn't get my shoes on so I did the run barefoot on the footpath, still took out 2nd place with plenty of blood blisters!

I’m at my best when... I've had a great sleep, ridden 120k's with the boys and then get to spend the arvo relaxing with Em or my mates. Getting the best of all worlds without exhausting myself!

Do you have a weird food fetish? If so, what is it? Rice crackers with avocado and Vegemite. Is that a bit odd? It's bloody delicious!

Are you a Woolies or Coles shopper? Woolies.

What would you spend your last $50 on? Probably a date night with Em, she deals with a lot of my crap so it's the least I could do to show her I really appreciate everything she does.

Why do you choose to be aligned with TITAN? The comradery between everyone within the TITAN Performance Group is fantastic. Each race is shared with people who have different goals and aspirations, meaning we all have different experiences to share with each other after the race. The range of products on offer is excellent, covering every aspect of triathlon making the entire experience a seemless journey to the finish line of your next race!

I’m at my best when… I'm fully rested and 100% focused!

Are you a Woolies or Coles shopper? Whatever is open and most convenient.
