Nathan Taylor, 45 years old, husband and father of two is new to triathlon. Nathan has always enjoyed multisport racing, but decided that he’d give triathlon a go - specifically IRONMAN racing. Since his first IRONMAN race in Port Macquarie in 2016, Nathan has qualified and competed at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i three years in a row. Highlight of short career in tri is winning his Age Group at Ironman Australia 2018.

Nathan trains under the watchful eye of coach Adam Beckworth of Beckworth Racing Team.

Nathan also co-owns and runs Go Ride A Wave, Australia’s largest surf school.

Living on the surf coast of Victoria, when Nathan is not working or training, he spends much of his time with his wife and two children by the beach.

Sam Colvin

Perth, Western Australian born in 1989 with an immediate passion for anything ocean & marine related. From a young age, Dad taught all us 3 brothers to fish which quickly became an addiction and remains a strong one to this day. After graduating from my schooling years, I was employed by Austral Fisheries in 2014 whom are an Australian commercial fishing company and highly regarded as industry leaders. Austral are a very professional outfit to which I’m lucky enough to further express my passion. Outside of work, I grew up as a competitive swimmer and amateur Australian Rules Football player. After many years competing at a high level in these sports, I felt I needed a change of direction in my sporting career. It wasn’t until 2016 where my cousin sent me a text message asking if I want to compete in the Busselton Ironman 70.3. At the time I was in complete disagreement and laughed at how anyone could put themselves through such torture.

Safe to say, the rest is history and here I am today having raced multiple long course endurance events all over the globe. It’s a position I never dreamt of being in, but it goes to show what the human body is capable of if the mind is trained to do so. Having now competed at both Ironman 70.3 & Ironman World Championships, I am constantly continuing to learn and improve through the guidance of my coach, Michelle Duffield at Team 360 Performance. I embraced this journey 3 years ago and I can’t see myself stopping anything soon.

The likeminded people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the companies that support me and the self-satisfaction of such achievements are things I’ll cherish forever.”
